updates!

Ok, Ok...it's been waaaayyyy too long, but here's some quick
pictures for updates as to what we've been up to lately.
Aside from being sick we've had a smashing good fall, leading
into a wonderfully chilly November/December. We bought
firewood for the first time ever! You would have thought that
we were trying to end world hunger with the amount of thought
we put into the wood. The long and short of it?...We didn't get
enough and now are conserving to make it through Christmas.
Oh, bother!

The following are pictures from our outing for pumpkins. We
had a marvelous time...travelled in the newly completed camper
bus for the first time and enjoyed samiches & hot cocoa in Brians
new thermos. (the cocoa, not the samiches.) Dare I say...it
was much admired for most of the morning as we gazed upon
it's glory. Someone, who shall remain nameless, took pictures.

I need milk. Hmmmm no potty. We have
four stickers so far on our chart.....that's one for
each week. What a trooper.

Oh my gosh it's been so long!
Feel's like I forgot to call someone back
or something like that. Very busy here for
the month of September. School starting,
potty training, winterizing, laundering, oh and
then there's work. Who knew that growing
up would be so much fun. Heee Heeee
Actually, it's not so bad, the wrinkles and
the droopy skin aside....no, I'm just kidding,
I was talking about our dog, buddy..he's
getting very old. He's almost four now....
Ohhhh to be 28 again! Ok, I'm rambling.

...and the next chapter begins!

Tyler started Highschool today. I know I know!
I feel old and proud. Looking forward to seeing
the man he's going to become.

OH IDAHO!

We had a super great time this year in Idaho! If it wasn't
so late I'd write something crafty and witty....but for now

Little Women

I just watched this! The 1949 version with June Allison, Janet Leigh & Elizabeth Taylor...she's
fabulous as Amy. They were all fabulous actually...I can't believe I love this story but I do.
I'm always curious which characters the women I know relate to....or think they would most
likely be. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest watching it...it surely clears the men out of
the room and provides some nice quiet time. hee hee

ok...here's why turning 41 is so great....

NEW YORK AWAITS....

O.K.....We're going to NY.
The older I get the more careful I become. Why?
I'm old, I drive slower now, and I'm nervous as *&%$#
to get on the plane. Why? I've been on lots of planes,
Hawaii, NY, CA., Iowa, (yeah, can you believe it) But what
the..... I'm not quite sure if it's the actual flying or the
forgetting something very important....like that 5th
pair of shoes, or my Aveda curl quick smoothing pommade.
Hmmmmmm, but I drive slow and I don't worry about those
things. I mean, the pommade's in my purse and if I need
a pair of shoes I'll stop at Nordstroms. Actually, that's not
true, I mean, I paint that picture but what I'd actually probably
do is just turn the car around and get the pair of shoes that
I left at home, and then more than likely change the outfit
I was wearing, redo the hair, vacuum again really quickly, wipe
down the counters, grab an extra diaper just in case and get back
in the car...then I'd be late to where ever I was going and have
to explain that it was because of my age. I forget things. O.K.,
so that's it then...I'm really worried about forgetting something.
I'd better go and finish packing then. We're going to NY....
with 6 pairs of shoes!

Spent the morning at the "Bug In" looking for parts for the new camper but.
Yes ..it is true, we are the proud owners of a Westfalia Camper Bus. Tyler's calling
it the Duck Bus as it has the original yellow & green plaid upholstery. Brian cringes
a bit at the name but he is being very supportive. Lily is calling her Sophie...as to where
and why, who know's? We will not be officially naming her however because apparently
it is "un-cool" and not done by the VW "purists"! We will however be camping by
next summer and if I have my way, traveling across country...so look out!

Nice blog!

Great Weekend

It's Sunday and the guys are still sleeping.
Late night at the Starlight Parade. Brian designed
and build the Freightliner float and Ty road along
the parade route. On TV and he looked like a college
student! Lily and I just hanging out. Watering
the flowers and snuggling. We can't decide
on pancakes or waffles. Everytime I say pancakes
she says waffles and everytime I say waffles she
says pancakes. Can you say "Contrary" ? We're
hip deep in the terrific twos. Socks are very
important....as is the perfect cup, which can change
at the drop of milk (or juice or water) We're also (we
as in she) very specific about whether it is going to
be a skirt day or a pants/shorts day....and pajama's
are a must! Especially worn all day long and with socks!
We went to the bus show yesterday! I'm turning....
becoming a VW convert...as is Lily. As we walked
through the football fields of various VW vehicles she
continued to say over and over; "No bugs!" Brian swears
there was no grooming what so-ever. uh huh!?
